Parties to the Dialogue / Instagram dispute have reached a confidential settlement; the hearing that was scheduled to run until 18 September has been adjourned adjourned until 16 October 2026.
Commissioner Woodward spoke to the LCA Competition and Consumer Workshop about the ACCC’s role in enforcing competition laws and discussed recent enforcement action and future strategies.

Second determination under new regime that merger must not be put into effect; involves proposal for MicroStar (Kegstar’) to acquire Konvoy’s assets, with those two companies being the only providers of keg pooling services in Australia.
The ACCC has published data on the first year of the new merger control regime (the first six months being voluntary).
